Loewe's history began in 1846 as a leather goods workshop in Madrid, Spain. The brand name came about in 1876, when German craftsman Enrique Loewe Roessberg joined the collective of Spanish artisans. By 1905, Loewe had been awarded the title of Purveyor to the Royal Court. In the 1960s, Loewe expanded into ready-to-wear fashion. The brand also established its presence in the luxury fragrance market in the 1970s. Loewe has a long tradition of craftsmanship and artistry, and the brand continues to evolve under the creative leadership of Jonathan Anderson.
